ARTICULATION
Photobucket

Awesome kneeling pose for a HG that is 10 years old!

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Photobucket

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Extreme limits of leg and arm articulation.  Forward and Back hip and ankle motion.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Arms go out 90 degrees from the chest and rotate below the shoulder.
Only a 90 degree bend at the elbow.  Waste rotation is hindered.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The back skirt armor hits the corner of the torso.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Lift the torso off the peg just a bit and you get a much better range of motion.

Photobucket

It's not 360, but it's not bad.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The head goes up pretty far, but it can't go down.  It will spin 360 without the Aile pack on.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Widest stance on the left, widest flat footed stance on right.

ACCESSORIES
Photobucket

Shield and attachment.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The shield can attach to either are on the elbow.  Too bad I painted it, that's going to chip off...

Photobucket

Photobucket

I added a few stickers

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The hand must be disassembled to hold the beam rifle.

Photobucket

It holds the rifle rather loosely, but it can't fall out because of the hand guard.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Every RX-78-2 based Gundam has to be able to pull off the Last Shot, right?

AILE STRIKER PACK ADDED

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Farthest up, farthest straight down, farthest out farthest in that the thrusters will go.

Photobucket

Farthest out and farthest in, again, from a top view.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

I added some seals here.

Photobucket

Strike, are you thinking what I'm thinking?  Yeah, time to get Aile-I mean- AIR born!

PhotobucketPhotobucket

You will need this attachment and to separate the waste.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The new part goes on thusly.

He can almost reach the beam sabers

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Unfortunately...

PhotobucketPhotobucket

There are no clear beam blades... :-(

Alright, I think that's a pretty decent picture set.

I really enjoyed this build.  It does need some paint work, even if you plan to use the included foil stickers.  The assembly is smooth, though, and I have to say, the design of the Strike has really grown on me since I've built it twice now.  I wish they would have included some beam blades and maybe even the bazooka for this ten year anniversary release!  That would have been great.  I have not built the original, so I can't compare the plastic colors, but the metallic gunmetal instead of plain grey for the mecha parts is an awesome color.  Considering the age of the kit, I'm giving this kit 4 out of 5 stars.  The posability for a ten year old kit is pretty good, there are just enough accessories.  It's only major flaw is the need for painting on the arms and chest especially.

If you don't have a HG Aile Strike and aren't planning to get or don't have the RG, get this kit.  It's pretty good and under $15 at most American based stores.  Buy it at Hobby Wave!

  2. The Aile Strikers wing can folded up and down. If I bought perfect strike. It have a similar part with this review part2. I even bought RG Skygrasper and HG Perfect Strike.
