Alrighty, back on track!

I think I left off with sanding. I've actually completed the Gundam itself, just waiting for the rest of the paint on the weapons to dry then I can finish up the panel lines.

I've decided to try my hand at painting the Gundam as per the painting guide:

I started with the legs as they had the most detail to work with.

I first painted the light tan color by mixing mostly flat white and just a hint of flat red. I thought this was a little too vibrant still so I also added a bit of flat OD green to mellow it out. The nice part about the sanding technique is the paint really sticks to the plastic ^_^!

I finished off with the darker salmon pink suggested in the painting guide. I added a touch more red and OD green to darken it up. I also detailed the bottom of the feet with flat black around the central thrusters, flat gray for the frame work and then some gold and silver detailing on the panels and the thrusters.

I also added gold and silver detailing over the hip joint which was first painted with a flat gray. The ankle joint was also detailed with silver and gold for the hydrolics and other tidbits.

And here are the completed legs pre-lined. I didn't think the suggested paint scheme would look so hot, but i can see that it just might work for this Gunpla! We will see how it all looks together in a couple days, I hope ^_^.

Next up will be the arms.
